McNeil Vertical Choir Concert

When: Tuesday Nov. 6th from 6:00 - 7:30 pm

Where: RRISD Performing Arts Center (next to McNeil High School)

Departure from WBE: 1:30 pm

Students should wear their WBE t-shirts and jeans to the event.

Students will travel by bus to the PAC for joint rehearsals with all participating schools. The rehearsals will start at 2:00 on the day of the concert. Students have received permission from administration to leave school early for this rehearsal. Also, there will be no choir enrichment on Tuesday, November 6th.

Rehearsals will run from 2-6 pm with a break for dinner.  Pizza and water will be provided.

Students will ride home with parents after the performance.

Kinder-1st Grade Performance tonight at 6:30 PM!!

Students will perform in the WBE AIA cafeteria tonight! The Tuesday performance will be a part of WBE AIA PTA meeting. Students will meet in the gym at 6:00 PM to warm up for the performance.  They will be performing in the cafeteria immediately after the PTA meeting has concluded.

We are encouraging your child to  wear all black or a black shirt with dark jeans. We will provide all costume pieces needed for the performance.

Choir Enrichment Notice

After school choir enrichment will  be cancelled on Thursday, November 2nd due to our participation in the Vertical Concert on the same date.  Sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

Upcoming Kinder Performances

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Here are the upcoming performance times for kindergarten.  The kids have been working hard on their songs and are excited to share them with you!

• Tuesday, April 5th - in the gym at 12:15
• Tuesday, April 5th - in the cafeteria after the 6:30 PTA meeting.  Students should meet in the gym at 6:15 to get ready for the performance.
• Saturday, April 9th - Spring Festival stage #2 (by the cafeteria) at 3:00 and 5:00

Students should wear nice spring attire for the performances.  We understand if you are unable to attend the Saturday performances, but please join us if you are at the Spring Festival!

After School Ukulele Club Starts September 24th

Hey wonderful WBE peeps.  I'm excited to announce that this year we will have a ukulele club for a handful of kids. This year, I'll have about 12 kids participating.  We're going to meet after school in room 418 (Ms. Raphail's Art Room)  and I will walk the kids down to my class room (Room 417) for practice.  The purpose of this club is to expose kids to playing a cool instrument and having fun.  We will hopefully be able to put on a performance of the things we have learned as well.  It should be a fun time.
